Our fixation with traditional spelling doesn’t allow our language to evolve as it should. Dictionary pronunciations are far different than the spellings. If we were spelling phonically, it would allow our language to be more responsive to our intended expression.
The Evolution of Spelling
Centuries old bridges and buildings need upgrades and spelling is no different. Our spoken language changes and writing should too.

We allow new words in our evolution of spoken language, but are reluctant to provide new spellings, and without phonetic spelling how could we?
